Talisman also provides real-time feedback on a measurement session. While in front of a part, the operator can directly connect their probe or laser scanner, configure measurement modes and parameters, and conduct typical probing actions. It can remotely control PolyWorks on a remote desktop. PolyWorks Talisman is a free mobile app (Android and iOS) for PolyWorks users. PolyWorks Modeler does three types of modeling: polygonal modeling (meshing) surface modeling (fitting a network of NURBS surfaces over a polygonal model) and solid modeling (transferring geometric entities to a feature-based CAD format). The gathered geometry then becomes a starting point for further modeling. PolyWorks Modeler creates reverse engineering models by extracting CAD entities (curves, surfaces, parametric sketches, and prismatic features) from polygonal models of digitized parts. PolyWorks Inspector features real-time quality meshing, which transforms laser scans into polygonal models. Use it to control tool or part dimensions, diagnose or prevent manufacturing and assembly issues, guide assembly through use of real-time measurements, and oversee quality control by using point cloud 3D scanners or single-point contact-based probes. PolyWorks Inspector is a full-featured 3D metrology toolbox. The PolyWorks portfolio has four products, each designed to complement the others. Such flexibility allows PolyWorks users to develop and deploy customized automated inspection processes such as guided operator-driven workflows for shop floor operations. All products in the PolyWorks line are user customizable, and include a powerful macro programming language. PolyWorks products work with all leading brands of 3D measurement devices, both single-point (probe) and point cloud styles. PolyWorks offers advanced solutions to cover the entire product development cycle, from part and tool design to inspection of assembled products. Adaptive is proud to provide its clients with PolyWorks software. The PolyWorks line of 3D metrology products from Innovmetric have come to define the gold standard in industrial manufacturing. Metrology has taken on new importance in most manufacturing companies, as the push to a fully digital, model-based design environment requires a new level of accuracy in measurements.
